THE BLACK KEYS LIVE IN MINNEAPOLIS!
Excited to share another new poster for The Black Keys this time in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the incredible and historical The Armory! Live tonight with The Heavy Heavy!
This was an incredibly fun one to draw especially as I was drawing being able to admire and marvel at the beauty and genius of the architecture of this magnificent building! I wanted to make sure I did something fun and iconic to celebrate the history and excitement of the show.
The Armory was built by the Public Works Administration in 1936 and was used by The US Army, Navy and National Guard for events and more. I read they call this amazing style of architecture “streamline monderne”. A style and design with “strong geometry, bold contouring and integrated sculpture ornamentation". Luckily they kept this historic almost 100-year-old building and renovated it and turned it into a beautiful concert venue in 2018.
